News and Information About Nuclear Testing 
and the Comprehensive Test Ban
 
     The Comprehensive Test Ban Clearinghouse in conjuction with
the Institute for Global Communications has created two new
newsgroups:  
alt.activism.nuclear-test.news - a 'read only' newsgroup, contains
the latest news and information about the ongoing Comprehensive
Test Ban Treaty negotiations and nuclear testing.  
 
Included are news summaries, fact sheets, action alerts, and
updates on French and Chinese nuclear testing, the test ban
negotiations in Geneva, and other disarmament issues.  It's updated
daily.
 
alt.activism.nuclear-test.d - an open newsgroup for activists and
NGOs can discuss nuclear testing and the grassroots campaign to
stop it, and nuclear disarmament.  Groups and activists are urged
to post press releases, fact sheets, action alerts, and information
requests on nuclear testing and disarmament.
The CTB Clearinghouse - a joint venture sponsored by Greenpeace,
Peace Action, Physicians for Social Responsibility, Plutonium
Challenge, and Women's Action for New Directions - disseminates
news and information about the ongoing Comprehensive Test Ban
Treaty negotiations and nuclear disarmament to grassroots activists
around the world.
